Few who worked at Fettercairn distillery could have possibly imagined that the spirit distilled on 11th June 1966 would sit in cask for over 50 years. The essence of Fettercairn, this truly exceptional Single Malt Whisky has been aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in a Tawny Port pipe Cask No.1.

Aged for five decades in carefully selected casks, this superb, well balanced and impressive non-chill filtered single malt was launched by Fettercairn mid-2018 as part of their new core range. As well as incorporating the notes of tropical fruits, soft spices and toffee like sweetness that is to be expected from a Fettercairn whisky there is also a surprisingly fresh fruitiness to its palate that you would not expect from a malt of this age.

Nose: Tropical fruits.

Palate: Blackcurrant, vanilla pear and soft spices.

Finish: Strong finish of Nectarine, tropical fruits and subtle hints of roasted coffee.
